साहस्र a. (

-स्री f.) [सहस्र-अण्]

1 Relating to a thou- sand.

-2 Consisting of a thousand.

-3 Bought with a thousand.

-4 Paid per thousand (as interest &c.).

-5 A thousand-fold.

-6 Exceedingly numerous.

-स्रः An army or detachment consisting of a thousand men.

-स्रम् An aggregate of a thousand; किरीटसाहस्रमणिप्रवेक- प्रद्योतिदोद्दामफणासहस्रम् Bhāg.3.8.6; (also साहस्रकम् in this sense).
